Implementing the Blueprint of "Green Africa" for Green Energy

According to the 2023 Electricity Market Report released by the International Energy Agency, renewable energy generation in Africa is expected to increase by over 60 billion kilowatt hours from 2023 to 2025, with the proportion of total electricity generation increasing from 24% in 2021 to 30% in 2025. According to a report by Rwanda's New Era newspaper, "Africa has abundant renewable energy. In recent years, Africa's economy has developed rapidly and is facing the realistic demand for energy transformation, which provides broad space for the development of renewable energy on the African continent."

At the 2023 Abu Dhabi Sustainable Development Week held last year, participants jointly launched the Africa Renewable Energy Industry Development Initiative, believing that Africa has superior renewable energy endowments and enormous development potential. It is expected that by 2050, the installed capacity of solar photovoltaics in Africa will increase to 650 gigawatts. The transformation of renewable energy in Africa will unleash 1.2 terawatts of renewable energy potential, bring in 14 million new jobs, and drive regional GDP growth of approximately 6.4%. The initiative calls for strengthening financial, technological, and socio-economic investment to significantly enhance Africa's capacity for renewable energy transformation and development.
